Brazilian GP: Massa victorious, Hamilton champion |
|
Sunday, 02 November 2008 |
McLaren ’s Lewis Hamilton is the 30th - and youngest-ever - world
champion. Lady Luck was on his side after bitter misfortune befell
Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, who crossed the line first after a pluperfect
performance and seemed to have achieved the impossible.
Massa looked set to take the
title until McLaren driver Hamilton slipped past Timo Glock's Toyota
and into the crucial fifth place at the final corner of the very last
lap.
Raikkonen finished in 3rd place.
