Kimi Raikkonen says he achieved all he
set out to in the Jordan Rally, and believes the experience gained will
stand him in good stead on the next round in Turkey.
Raikkonen’s
debut WRC season with the Citroen Junior Team got off to a shaky start
in Sweden when he drove into a snow bank, and got worse on the next
round in Mexico when he rolled his C4 WRC off the road. But in Jordan,
only his eighth-ever rally, a largely mistake-free performance netted
him a top ten result.
"From the beginning my goal was to get to the end of the rally and
I'm really pleased that we've been able to do that even though the
conditions were difficult," said Raikkonen.

Red Bull-backed Kimi Raikkonen has rolled his Citroen C4 WRC on the seventh stage of Rally Mexico.
The Citroen Junior Team driver apparently went off on a downhill section of the stage, going into some hairpins. Both Raikkonen and co-driver Kaj Lindstrom are reported to be OK, but the C4 is said to be destroyed. It means the pair will be unable to complete today's remaining two super special stages.

Former Formula 1 world champion Kimi Raikkonen was encouraged by his World Rally Championship debut for Citroen despite finishing 30th in Sweden.
Kimi lost nearly half an hour when he slid into a snow bank on Friday, but was able to rejoin and set some promising stage times on his way to 30th overall.
Raikkonen said: "It was a really encouraging event, which allowed me to learn so much."
Ford's Hirvonen finished first, 42.3 seconds ahead of Raikkonen's team-mate Sebastien Loeb while Jari-Matti Latvala was third.
